The project aims to establish Indonesia's first manufacturing base for new-energy construction machinery, further strengthening Indonesia's strategic role as LiuGong's manufacturing hub for the Asia-Pacific region. In the future, the industrial park will also establish a Product Application R&D Center and collaborate with Gadjah Mada University to establish a joint research laboratory.
In his remarks, Governor of West Java - Mr. Dedi Mulyadi stated that the project would inject new momentum into the development of West Java's manufacturing industry. Mr. Zheng Jin, Chairman of LiuGong Group and LiuGong Machinery, emphasized that the industrial park represents Liugong's long-term commitment to the Indonesian market. He added that Liugong will continue to deepen cooperation with partners in Indonesia and across ASEAN region, contributing to regional manufacturing development and the green transformation of the industry.
Indonesia is one of the world's leading coal producers and energy exporters. As the global energy transition accelerates, Indonesia is actively promoting greener mining practices and a more diversified energy structure. The Indonesian government has clearly outlined its goals of increasing the share of renewable energy and extending the mining value chain. At the same time, mining operations are demanding higher standards of equipment reliability, environmental performance, and intelligent technologies, creating significant market opportunities for new-energy construction machinery and green mining solutions.
As a key exhibitor at ICEE, Liugong continues to focus on the industry's green and intelligent transformation by showcasing advanced construction machinery technologies, innovative green mining solutions, and localized integrated equipment solutions. The groundbreaking of the industrial park not only marks an important milestone in Liugong's global expansion strategy but also highlights the tremendous potential for deeper cooperation between China and Indonesia in the energy and mining sectors.
ICEE remains committed to staying at the forefront of industry developments by providing an efficient platform for business matchmaking, technology exchange, and commercial cooperation between Chinese and Indonesian enterprises. Going forward, ICEE will continue to leverage its platform advantages to facilitate deeper collaboration between China and Indonesia sectors such as new-energy equipment, green mining, and intelligent mining technologies, helping bring more practical cooperation projects to fruition.
Indonesia Coal & Energy Expo (ICEE) 2027 will be held from May 26–28, 2027, in Jakarta, Indonesia. ICEE cordially invites global energy companies from around the world to gather once again in Jakarta to explore new business opportunities and jointly built a greener future.
